Description

From the Collection “The Life Cycle of a Sunflower”

The Life Cycle of Flowers is a projection of the life cycle of any person or living thing. The project shows specific moments in a flower’s life. Those moments are the aftermath of a struggle or an experience that the flower has gone through in its life, as it continues until its very last moment. However, it is not over yet, due to pollination and the spread of seeds causing the reproduction of that flower, it is reborn once again. The cycle repeats.

In Buddhism, like in other religions, they believe in reincarnation, a concept that an element of a living being starts a new life in a different physical body after each biological death. To think that maybe I was once a flower…

I can also see the life cycle of these flowers on my own.

Each petal loss is caused through those struggles and experiences we face in life. We tend to lose something from ourselves, physically and mentally. We lose hair due to stress, or we get wrinkles as we age. In most cases, we lose ourselves and our bodies get weaker, we get sick, we get old.

Life has taught me that there is one thing to always keep in mind, which is to always keep a strong foundation and a good positive mind, no matter the harshness we have to face.
