Description

From the Collection “The Death of a Flower”

The Death of a Flower talks about life and death. We are born, we grow, we evolve. Throughout life we will face different adversities that destiny puts in our path. There will come a point where, like a flower opens up and shows its petals, we flourish. But, at that point, our petals start to fall off one by one. And, our mood does as well.

Many people fear death. As we get older and our skin wrinkles, that fear starts to creep in. But, what if I tell you that there is no reason to fear it? What is there to fear? Have you not looked back and recognized how beautiful your life has been? Have you not accomplished what you came here to do?

Take this flower as the projection of your own life. We see how the flower slowly comes to an end. But, before its death, we see it open up. How beautiful is that. How wonderful it is that a person can open up and blossoms like a flower as they spread their petals.

This project makes you look back in your own life and think. Have you blossomed or have you not? If no is your answer, maybe there’s your fear which is blocking you from blossoming.

Beyond that, this series has captured moments of how this flower has lived. A life filled with beauty because of it. It has been beautiful in itself, and that is what we have to realize. That delicate texture and rare beauty that we all have, we must recognize that. We must recognize that every step or transition we have experienced has been beautiful and the moments necessary. We have to realize how beautiful life is, which is what many of us fail to see.

There exists an incredible similarity between people and flowers. And, to think that I was once a flower in a past life. Thus, this flower has become my own projection of life and soon I will be ready to ascend.
