From the Collection “Unveiling Gaudí”

Unveiling Gaudí is my way of seeing Gaudí’s architecture, a more subtle, almost secret Gaudí, as photographer Aitor Ortiz tells us in his Gaudí photographic project, Intimate Impressions.

Being an artistic photographer, I wanted to combine nude and photographs of Gaudí’s architecture, to show that sensitivity, delicacy and beauty of nature that is hidden behind his architecture.

Why Unveiling Gaudí?

To unveil means to discover or even manifest that which was hidden. And that is why my vision of bringing Gaudí’s architecture to a nude, is to be able to capture the essence of Gaudí’s spirit that hides behind everything that constitutes his architecture.

Gaudí’s architecture is excessive, colorful and saturated. Some people, including me, consider it a strange architecture. I opt more for a clean and simple architecture. But there was something that caught my attention, and that is what I wanted to investigate, why.

These photos are the final result of my investigation.
